Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

It was a boring summer in Macotera, and I saw a full page commercial of a cinema related magazine called cinemania in a Newspaper. In the current issue a three page cover featuring the most anticipated movie of the year: Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. I knew almost nothing about Star Wars, I saw the movies a long time ago but I wasn't a big movie fan back in these days. I also remembered an animated series that aired on ETB for a while. Dragon Ball was over for a long time and I was finding something to follow. I gave a small try to Evangelion manga, but I didn't enjoyed too much. I read on many places how Star Wars influenced Akira Toriyama's work from the very beginning. So, I just decided to give it a try. I bought the magazine and I immediately started to get interested in it.

When I went back to Oñati, my friend Michael let me the original trilogy on VHS. I saw the three classics films and then went to Gasteiz to see the newly released Episode I. I enjoyed it, and got hocked to it. Some time later, another friend let me the the original trilogy again, but this time it was the special edition VHS set released on 1997. This was the first time I saw some behind the scenes features on the making of the trilogy and how they restored and ad some special changes. That change my life forever. Here is what I saw:
