COMIC | Archifreaks 'Mezquita'

Ian Nose is preparing a new series called Archifreaks. He is so lazy I really don't know when is going to be released but meanwhile he does small pilots to warm up, I guess. This one is a very special one; to celebrate that Miguel Beloqui and Sergio Ramos from studio cr3am have finished their final project in Architecture School.

It is special GIF version that show three stages of the creative process of the comic. The image changes every 10 seconds. So, be patient.

Toriyama Today

The japanese seem to be concerned about the future. At least that is what it seems looking at this Biosphere project I just found surfing the net. You don't need to know japanese to get an idea of what is this about. The cute drawings of Akira Toriyama, creator of Dragon Ball and DrSlump comunicate it amazingly well.

Making of the Computer Graphics for Star Wars

Star Wars is being re-released in 3D starting with Episode I The Phantom Menace on February 10th. I was looking on YouTube for a featurette that would explain the making of the conversion of the two dimensional film into 3D but I found out something even better.

This video explains how they made the computer animated graphics of the Death Star as seen on the original  Star Wars from 1977. The work was done by Larry Cuba in the 70s at the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) (at the time known as the Circle Graphics Habitat) at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
