Silestone bar contest

Roberto Garcia Fernandez told me if I could work with him in a Cosentino and i+d+art  competition to design a bar bar using Silestone. I don't know how but we end up with this proposal inspired by a famous soda brand. Got it?

STOY competition

This years STOY competiton was about "jurbaning" playing in the street. The point was to make people play in the street and designing a game or a toy that will help to do so. They idea had to be presented in a big poster that was going to be hung in bus stops marquees. My approach has been to just try to open some people eyes. We spend so much time in front of screens that sometimes is good to remember that there were times without screens and we had good time too. So I choose some mayor companies, very influential ones, that made us stay in from of screen for decades and made a kind of anti publicity of them.
Facebook is fake, anyone that uses it understands what I am talking about. An eaten apple, what you throw to the garbage and Super Mario becomes Super Mareo (dizziness) after some hours of playing.
I think the streets are already cool and many things can be done in them. It's just great when people of all ages starts using urban furniture in a way no designer has thought before. And specially children, they don't really need complex rules or big architects and designers that tell them how to play, they find their way. But I belive that parents must be proactive and let them do things and encourage them to PLAY REAL, switch off screens and meet their friends.

SIKA contest 2011

I have been working with Javier Argota and Rodrigo Delso this days, we did a couple of entries, one is the one above. I don't know why we were not awarded...The brief was simple: There is no more space to build in Spain and we had to figure out ways so that we could continue building a vacation resort in ocean, space or where ever. Awesome idea, isn't it?

The boards read like this:
Left: Why should we do SIKA if we can go on vacation?
Right: Hundreds of students, hundreds of ideasso that people that live in wealthy countries can enjoy vacations. If we don't use the money for investigation and while we still belive that brick-moved economy is possible. We will be happy if we are able to serve to the countries that really invest on research and development. The only line we draw as a proposal is the bikini line.
